Frequently asked questions

How to choose the right roller diameter (15mm, 20mm or 24mm)?

The choice of diameter depends on your baiting strategy and target stock:
– 15 mm: Perfect for creating a dense bait bed and keeping fish on the spot for a long time (high yield fishing).
– 20 mm : The standard and versatile diameter par excellence, effective in 90% situations.
– 24 mm : Ideal for selecting larger specimens and avoiding disturbances from silver fish (bream, chub) or crayfish.

Please note: Our rollers are interchangeable. You can order one size today and get an additional roller later to vary your diameters.

Is the roller easy to clean after use?

Yes, your equipment has been designed for the easiest maintenance possible. This boilie roller is fully and quickly disassemblable : you can separate the elements and the counter-mould in moments, without complex tools.

This allows you to easily access all corners to remove the leftover paste. For perfect cleaning, simply use a soft brush andwarm water.

What is the warranty on this bait roller?

To ensure you have complete peace of mind, every Capium product is covered by a 2 year warranty against any manufacturing defects. If an item fails, we will cover the replacement of the defective part at no cost.

This warranty applies under normal and careful use. Are logically excluded from the warranty :
– Damage resulting from an accidental drop.
– The use of a dough that is too dry or too hard that would force the mechanism.
– Deformations related to a high-temperature cleaning.

Should I support the paste sausage with my hands while rolling it?

No, it is absolutely not necessary! One of the great advantages of our boilie machine is its autonomy. You simply need to start or place your paste sausage on top, and the mechanism takes care of the rest.

As a precaution, we remind you that you should never insert your fingers into the roller or at the counterform while the device is running.

Can I use any recipe for the paste?

Yes, our motorised roller accepts all your boilie recipes: meaty, fruity, creamy, or spicy mixes. The key is the texture of your paste. It should be perfectly homogeneous, neither too sticky (it would squish) nor too dry (it would crack). We recommend aiming for a “play dough” consistency to achieve regular and smooth balls.

Is it really cost-effective to make your own boilies?

Absolutely. By buying your flours and additives in bulk, the cost price of a homemade boilie often falls between 3€ and 5€ per kilo. Compared to commercial boilies sold between 10€ and 15€ per kilo, the savings are immediate. For a regular angler, purchasing a Capium electric boilie machine becomes profitable in just a few months of fishing.
